Stump Removal is often necessary when a tree has been removed for construction purposes in this case we would dig around the stump cutting off all the main roots and remove the stump completely.

Often a stump can remain in the ground without causing any harm. However if the stump is only needing to be removed from sight, from being a trip hazard or is on a boundary line where a new fence is being erected, then they can be ground out instead. This process takes the stump below the surface of the ground by up to 250mm. This is deep enough for small plants to be planted, a gravel board or for turfing, the grindings will often be refilled into the hole and the remaining lateral roots will rot away in time.

When a stump of a diseased tree is left and poses a threat to the health of other plants then we will remove chippings soil will replaced.
